In the first week of November,  Benedict Flade (HRI) and Julian Eggert (HRI) attended the 19th IEEE ITSC conference, the flagship conference of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society. Mr Flade presented a paper describing their scientific results in inLane, titled “Camera to Map Alignment for Accurate Low-Cost Lane-Level Scene Interpretation”.

The conference took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, November 1-4, under the theme of Intelligent Transportation for Smarter Societies.

Key areas of interest for the event included: Transportation Networks, Modeling, Simulation, and Detection of Vulnerable Road Users and Animals,  Artificial Transportation Systems, Sensing, Detectors and Actuators, Communication in ITS, HMI and Human-machine interaction, Advanced vehicle safety systems, Vision, and Environment Perception, Vehicle localization and autonomous navigation, Crowdsourcing and Social Transportation, New trends and utopias in ITS.
